I hope your holiday season is off to a great start! Here are a few important items this month for students:
Registration for Red Raider Orientation (RRO) for students entering Texas Tech in the spring or fall of 2016 is now live. RRO is mandatory for all new students and is where course registration occurs. Please encourage your students that have been admitted to Texas Tech to begin this process soon to secure their first choice orientation dates: www.redraiderorientation.ttu.edu
We've compiled a customized Admitted Student Tasklist that takes students step-by-step through the process of enrolling. Within their customized Tasklist, students can check off each item when they have completed or finished reviewing. Please let your students know about this very important tool! www.admitted.ttu.edu
The deadline to apply for general scholarships to Texas Tech for next academic year is February 1 at applytexas.org. Students do not need to be admitted before filling out the scholarship application - they simply need to have started the application for admission. Merit scholarships are guaranteed until April 15th. www.scholarships.ttu.edu
Connect Tech is the exclusive visit event for admitted students. We invite your students that have been accepted to Texas Tech to come and explore their intended major, see their housing options, eat lunch in a dining facility and discover more about the campus. www.admissions.ttu.edu/connect
Remember that you are now able to see student's application materials that may still be outstanding or download a list to reference later through our Counselor Portal. Follow the link above to complete a profile and request access. www.admissions.ttu.edu/counselors
Texas Tech hosted the 57th annual Carol of Lights on Tuesday, December 1st. With the flip of a switch, more than 25,000 colored lights will illuminate 13 campus buildings around the historic Memorial Circle, Engineering Key and the Broadway entrance! www.housing.ttu.edu/caroloflights
Please let me know if there is anything we can do for you or any of your students.
