The Recovery Village Health Care Scholarship - $1,000 - 1 Award - (Deadline: June 30,2019)

The Recovery Village Health Care Scholarship:

In order to be eligible, students must meet the following criteria:

  • U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident

  • Enrolled or accepted in an accredited college or university and plan to continue enrollment

  • Consent to a talent release and be willing to provide a digital photograph and quote for display on Advanced Recovery Systems (ARS) websites if notified as the winner

  • Graduating high school seniors who meet the above criteria are encouraged to apply

A $1,000 award will be given to a student pursuing a health-related degree program. Areas of study that will be considered include, but are not limited to, counseling, social work, emergency medicine, pre-med, nursing, psychology (with a focus on addiction counseling or a substance-abuse related field).

Applicants must submit an essay no more than 500 words describing why they are passionate about health care, with a focus on substance abuse and mental health. Essays can draw from personal or professional experience.

Award selection will be based upon:

  • Completed application

  • Originality (20%)

  • Creativity (20%)

  • Writing Skills (20%)

  • Inspiration (20%)

  • Demonstrated interest in addiction treatment and recovery (20%)

The winner will be notified following the deadline and the award will be credited to the student’s school.
Certain information must be provided by the student to The Recovery Village in order for the school to receive the funds.

We the Students Scholarship Opportunity - (Deadline: February 14, 2019)

The deadline for our We the Students Essay Contest is less than a month away so please remind your students to submit their essays as soon as possible.

The Nolan County Foundation Scholarships - $500 - 25 Awards (Deadline: April 1, 2019)

The Nolan County Foundation has authorized 25 merit based scholarships for 2019 in the amount of $500 each for Nolan County high school seniors attending a Texas college or university.

The Foundation has awarded over $300,000 to Nolan County high school graduates and continues to support these students in furthering their educational pursuits.

Society of Manufacturing Engineers Scholarship - $10,000 - 100 Awards (Deadline: Feb 1, 2019)

To be eligible for the scholarship a student must:

A) Be a graduating high school senior, current undergraduate or graduate student who will be enrolling as parttime or full-time undergraduate or graduate student, attending accredited colleges or universities

B) Have a minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale or 70 on a 100 point (%) scale.
