Kenneth Dudensing, who teaches at Sweetwater High School, was awarded the Outstanding Conservation Teacher of the Year award at the 36th annual Texas Conservation Awards regional dinner in Wall. The Soil & Water Conservation Area II stretches from Medina in the Hill Country to Abilene in the Big Country and from Andrews in the Trans-Pecos to El Paso in Far West Texas. In partnership with USDA's Natural Resources Conservation Service, the program recognizes and honors soil and water conservation districts and individuals who have dedicated their time, efforts and talents to making wise use of renewable natural resources. More than 200 farmers and ranchers from 50 Central and West Texas counties attended the dinner where the presentation was made.
