For the fourth year seniors enrolled Students at Sweetwater High School were able to work with KXOX to write and record a school commercial that will be aired during live broadcasts of varsity football and volleyball games this fall. "Students are great to work with," said KXOX Broadcaster Richard Ferguson.  "Having their energy in the building brings additional excitement to my work day."

In addition to SHS, all district schools recorded commercials highlighting accomplishments and achievements. "Our message is simple," said Senior Jaelynn Page, "SHS is the best school because our teachers  provide legendary student support, we have opportunities to volunteer in the community, and no other school in our area partners with TSTC, Western Texas College, and Angelo State University."

Moreover, students also focused the commercial on leadership opportunities on campus through extra-curricular activities, UIL competition, DECA, and FFA to name a few of the long list of student programs on campus. What students felt was most important was that Sweetwater High School excels in developing student leadership. During the 2017-2018 school year Teachers, Students, Parents, and Administrators will focus on their work to become the premier high school in the Big Country.

Sweetwater High School Seniors Kobe Clark, Jaelynn Page, Tristan Longoria, and Journee Pugh work with KXOX Broadcaster Richard Ferguson to record two SHS commercials that will air during varsity football and volleyball games.
