Cowen Early Childhood Center Hosts Monthly Summer Socialization Activities

JP Cowen Early Childhood Center is hosting monthly socialization activities for parents and children throughout the summer.  Events include a water day, a day at the library, and a day at the park!  JP Cowen looks forward to remaining engaged with parents who are involved in our Early Head Start Program!

Sweetwater ISD Seeks Parent Input From the 2016 Annual Campus Survey

For our student's parents and guardians - the 2016 Annual Survey is now available for you to tell us how we are doing.

Individual surveys will be sent to families for each child you have enrolled at SISD if you have an email on record with us.

If you do not have internet access, paper copies are available from your child's campus. If you have not given us your email - or if you have lost the email we sent you - please use the link below to access the survey.

Sweetwater High School FFA Students Have Outstanding Year In Competitions

Sweetwater FFA teams worked very hard all year and competed well at local, area, and state competitions. 

The Meats Judging Team was 1st at District, 3rd at Area, and 12th at the State Contest.  This team consisted of Kensi Chowning, Jeanne Chapman, Kaitlyn Foster, and John Clift:

The Poultry Judging Team was 1st at District, 5th at Area and Qualified for the State Contest.  Team members were: Marissa Sanchez, Marc Butler, Tyler Stacey, and Josie Sanchez:

The Milk Quality and Products Team was 1st at District, 5th at Area and 25th at the State Contest!  Team members included Katie Fox, Lizzie Gray, Jaelynn Page, Bella Pena and Alexis Medrano:

The Land Judging Team was 1st at District, 3rd at Area and 12th at the State Contest!  Freshman, Jackson Foster was 13th High Individual at the State Level and Junior, Christian Borders was 3rd High Individual at the Area Level.  Other team members were Branson Guelker and Cory Mendez:

The Cotton Team was 1st at District, 2nd at Area and 4th at State!  Senior, Alyssa Soles was high individual at the State Level with a PERFECT SCORE!!  Senior, Marissa Sanchez was 8th High individual at the State Level.  Other team members included Latimer Burnett and Jeanne Chapman:

Middle School Art Students Win Medals at the JR VASE Event in Abilene

Sweetwater Middle School Art students received 18 medals at the JR VASE event at Wylie Junior High. SMS had 17 works of art that received a rating of 4. This is the highest rating and these students received a medal. Middle School also had one student selected as a regional silver medalist. Congratulations to these students!
