Sweetwater Intermediate School PTO
The mission of the SIS PTO is to establish and nurture a close relationship between the parents, teachers, and students by advancing opportunities in the home, school, and community of the school.
What does PTO do?
The PTO provides assistance to teachers in classroom settings, raises funds for supplemental education materials and experiences, supports school and family social interaction, and provides a non-biased forum for sharing information on issues that impact our children. It is our belief that the team effort of a parent-teacher organization offers the best possible learning environment for our children.
The PTO holds monthly meetings to discuss and implement the ideas of the parents and teaching staff. The dates and times for these meetings will be sent home with your child and are posted on the SIS webpage. All parents and other family members are automatically members of the SIS PTO and encouraged to participate in activities throughout the year. A strong PTO is evidence of parental interest and does ensure a better school environment for our children.
