SISD Receives Gold Performance Acknowledgement Awards from T.E.A.

SISD Superintendent Terry Pittman announced today that the Texas Education Agency has given the district several Gold Performance Acknowledgement Awards. The Gold Performance Acknowledgment (GPA) system recognizes districts and campuses for high performance on indicators other than those used to determine accountability ratings. The measures used by the T.E.A. have recently been made tougher and the standards for awards increased.
Receiving Gold Performance Acknowledgement Awards were:
Sweetwater ISD for Commended Performance in Social Studies
Sweetwater Middle School for Commended Performance in Social Studies
Sweetwater Intermediate School for Commended Performance in Reading/Language Arts, Commended Performance in Math, & Commended Performance in Science
East Ridge Elementary for Commended Performance in Reading/Language Arts
