Facility Use

 

In order to access our facilities, you will need to contact Dr. Kenny Border, COO for Sweetwater ISD.  He can be reached at (325) 235-4181.  Depending on the scope of the usage, applicable fees will be applied.

 

Facility Rental Request

 
  • Certain areas of the school will be accessible to students before and after school for specific purposes. Students are required to remain in the area where their activity is scheduled to take place. Unless the teacher or sponsor overseeing an activity gives permission, a student will not be permitted to go to another area of the building or campus. Students must leave campus immediately after dismissal from school in the afternoon, unless the student is involved in an activity under the supervision of a teacher or other authorized employee or adult.
  • Student-organized, student-led noncurriculum-related groups are permitted to meet during the hours designated by the principal before and after school. These groups must comply with the requirements of policy FNAB(LOCAL). A list of these groups is available in the principal’s office.
  • Sweetwater ISD is committed to maintaining an alcohol- and drug-free environment and will not tolerate the use of alcohol and illegal drugs in the workplace and at school-related or school-sanctioned activities on or off school property. Employees who use or are under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs as defined by the Texas Controlled Substances Act during working hours may be dismissed.

  • State law prohibits smoking, using tobacco products, or e-cigarettes on all district-owned property and at school-related or school-sanctioned activities, on or off school property. This includes all buildings, playground areas, parking facilities, and facilities used for athletics and other activities. Drivers of district-owned vehicles are prohibited from smoking, using tobacco products, or e-cigarettes while inside the vehicle. Notices stating that smoking is prohibited by law and punishable by a fine are displayed in prominent places in all school buildings.
  • Football concessions are under the direction of the Sweetwater Athletic Booster Club.  The booster club will assign volunteer organizations to work football games.  Proceeds from football concessions will be at equal distribution to the booster club and the different organizations (50% to the Booster Club and 50% split evenly across the organizations who work).


    All other concessions are at the direction of the individual UIL team or organization and based upon the approval of individual campus principals.
