Sweetwater ISD employees will actively seek to establish contact with students and parents of students who are non-engaged in the learning process. Once contact is established the goal will be to determine what needs or barriers to engagement exist and develop a collaborative plan to address the needs of the student. Primary means of establishing support will be direct phone calls to parents or home visits as necessary. Potential topics of support could include but are not limited to:

Outreach and continued engagement with families to ensure they have access to technology (as necessary), District resources and key information;

Information on how to access District resources (e.g. Clever, Google Classroom, etc.);

Google Classroom Calendar tools;

Mentorship to students; and
- Support resources to students or parents.
