Technology Supports

Sweetwater ISD is excited that we are able to provide a 1:1 student to device environment. 

  • 1:1 touchscreen Chromebooks PK-12th.

  • Windows Labs, Apple iMac lab, and Windows Laptops for CTE Courses.

  • iPads are also available for alternative application needs. 

A 1:1 environment helps provide personalized assignments, adaptive learning, increased participation, increased creative outlets, preparation for the future, equal learning opportunities, curriculum experimentation, educator and student communication, self-paced learning opportunities, access to more knowledge and information. Campus staff and librarians shall follow procedures and best practices developed and recommended by the Technology Department and District librarian inorder to provide a sustainable and efficient 1:1 program: Campus Chromebook Procedures, Policy, Agreements, and Guidance Document. Students shall follow the terms and conditions of technology, device, and network use as outlined in the Student Acceptable Use Policy and the Student Chromebook Handbook.
  • The Sweetwater ISD Family and Student Tech Support for the 2020-21 school year will continue to be available for the 2021-22 school year for students and parents. If you need technical support for your Chromebook, please communicate the issue with your teacher first if they are unable to assist you submit a helpdesk request to our Technology Department providing all possible contact information using the Family and Student Tech Support Request.  We will respond within 24 hours to all helpdesk tickets.
  • Our survey results showed that Internet connectivity at home continues to be a challenge for a small percentage of students. See below for services or benefits to help eliminate gaps in internet connectivity:

    • The Emergency Broadband Benefit Program has been created to provide low cost internet services, see the EBB page on our Website for more information.  This will provide those who have any difficulty paying for Internet Service get the help they need.  You may also find contact information at

    • The district has identified low cost residential plans that qualified families can leverage:

      • Suddenlink

    • AT&T**you may be able to get the Access plan from AT&T!/

    • Not offering low cost options however can cover rural areas

      • Balatize Broadband Services - Please contact them for details of plans offered (325) 480-3837.

      • WesTex Connect (Offers Free Wi-Fi at Sutherlands) - Please contact them for details of plans offered (325) 673-1930.

    • Hotspots will be evaluated as a final option in the event other services are not available.
