Career and Technical Education at SHS

Sweetwater HS students can participate in a variety of CTE Programs of Study. SHS offers:

  • Agriculture: Animal Science; Applied Agricultural Engineering; Food Science & Technology; Plant Science

  • Business: Business Management; Entrepreneurship; Marketing & Finance

  • Education & Training

  • Family & Community Services

  • Graphic Design & Multimedia Arts

  • Law Enforcement

SHS students in CTE Programs of Study can also earn Industry Based Certifications. Talk to your counselor for detailed information.

Dual Credit
Sweetwater High School students may earn college credit while in high school through our dual credit program. We are proudly partnered with Angelo State University, OnRamps, Texas State Technical College, and Western Texas College to bring college opportunities to students on campus. Contact the Counseling Center for more information.

Testing for Home School Students
Home school students will be allowed to take the SAT, PSAT and all other college advanced placement tests on the Sweetwater High School campus. For more information on testing dates, see the websites below. Contact the SHS Testing Coordinator if you want to test on the High School campus.
