SIS is proud to celebrate our students at our Academic and UIL Awards Ceremonies on May 1, 2026 at Broadway Baptist Church. •5th Grade: 8:30 - 9:30 •4th Grade: 10:00 - 11:00 Students receiving an award will receive an invitation to take home. *SIS Cotillion will follow the Awards Ceremonies during students' regular lunch times. This Cotillion will be closed to SIS students and staff only to celebrate their hard work this year.

📣 Attention 5th Grade Parents! We are excited to invite you to our "Welcome to SMS" Parent Meeting as your student prepares for the transition to middle school! 🗓️ Date: Thursday, April 23 📍 Location: Middle School Cafeteria 🚪 Entrance: Please enter on Ave. C 🕠 Time: 5:30 PM This meeting will be informative and will help kick off the 6th grade course selection process for your student. It’s a great opportunity to learn what to expect and how to support your child as they begin this next chapter. We look forward to seeing you there!

Our students continue to do amazing things! 🎉 Sweetwater Intermediate School’s Destination Imagination teams competed at the State DI competition yesterday—and they showed up in a BIG way: 🏆 Fine Arts Team – 1st Place 🥈 Engineering Team – 2nd Place Both teams have officially advanced to GLOBALS in Kansas City! 🌎✨ We are incredibly proud of their creativity, teamwork, and dedication. Way to represent SIS!
