Sweetwater ISD – Due to weather conditions, Sweetwater ISD currently will have a 10:00 AM start on Tuesday, January 27.
No school buses will run.
We will continue to evaluate the weather situation and update accordingly.
Due to inclement weather, Sweetwater ISD will be closed on Monday, January 26.

All Head Start families should enter through Door A15 on New Mexico Street at Southeast Elementary School. Upon arrival, they will sign in at the door and then proceed to the cafeteria to have a meal with their child.
All Early Head Start families should go to our school located at 1202 Corral Drive and report to Room 6 to sign in. They will receive a plate in their child's classroom.

Red Ribbon Week is just around the corner! It is essential that your child wears shoes with their costume on Friday. They will be able to take them off independently when using the restroom. Thank you for your cooperation.

Due to ongoing maintenance issues, water will not be on by lunch and the AC is also out. We will serve lunch, then dismiss SHS for the day at 1:00 PM. This will count as a full day of school.
👉 Students who ride the bus or need to stay will be housed in the CTE building until normal dismissal time.
👉 All other campuses will dismiss at their regular times.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Sweetwater ISD conducts a program for students with above average potential in academic and creative-productive thinking skills in grades K-12. This gifted education program is designed to challenge students to accelerate above and beyond the regular school curriculum.
Nominations will be taken through November 21, 2025. Anyone wishing to nominate a student believed to be an intellectually or creatively gifted learner is encouraged to come by the appropriate campus office and complete the necessary forms. Those students nominated will go through a screening procedure that requires special testing. At the time of nomination, parents will be requested to grant permission for this testing.
