Student attendance is crucial for academic success and future opportunities. For students, showing up every day builds a foundation for learning and develops habits like responsibility that are essential for future careers. For parents, it is crucial to recognize that chronic absences, missing just two days a month, can be a warning sign for dropping out of high school.

It's a team effort: when schools, parents, and students work together to make attendance a priority, everyone benefits, and a child's path to graduation and a bright future becomes clearer. If you are struggling to attend school, please reach out so that we can help you problem-solve and find solutions that ensure student success.

Your Attendance Matters. Missed days add up: Half of the students who miss just 2-4 days in September will go on to miss nearly a month of school during the year.
Due to changes in state law, we must now have parent consent to provide any services for your student, including minor first aid. Please make sure to sign and return these forms to the school as soon as possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the campus nurse.

Attention Parents: Check with your students for an important letter from the school nurse.

Please read the press release.

Numerous studies have shown the significant impact electronic devices can have on student comprehension and learning. House Bill 1481 seeks to ensure that students do not have distractions outside the classroom interfering with learning inside the classroom.

SISD requires all students to turn off and store, out of sight, their cell phones, smartwatches, Earbuds, and electronic devices during the school day from the first bell to the last bell.

If parents need to contact a student regarding an emergent issue, please contact the front office at (325) 235-4371.
