🏆⛳ LADY MUSTANGS ARE THE STATE CHAMPS! ⛳🏆

One year ago, the Lady Mustangs walked off the course as STATE RUNNER-UPS. They brought home the silver, but they never let second place define them. Instead, it fueled them.

This team came back with unfinished business, and all season long they played like a group destined for greatness. . Long practices. Pressure-packed moments. They put in the work, trusted each other, and refused to settle.

Now, the Sweetwater High School Lady Mustangs stand alone at the top as your District 6-3A, Region 1 STATE GOLF CHAMPIONS — and they did it in dominant fashion, winning the state title by an incredible 19 strokes. 🔥

Congratulations to Peyton Gee, Mackenzie May, Halley Nixon, Cylan Patterson, Bailey Rainbolt, and Summer Rainbolt for making history and showing what championship heart looks like.

And a huge congratulations to Coaches Jarrod Gee and Dillon Gainey for leading this program to the pinnacle and building a legacy that Sweetwater High School will never forget.

This wasn’t luck.
This wasn’t just one great round.
This was a team that refused to stay second best. ❤️🤍

Sweetwater ISD is proud to celebrate our Texas History Day teams and some outstanding high school juniors!

This marked our very first year participating in this incredible program, part of National History Day—and what a strong debut it was. We had three teams advance from the regional competition in Odessa and go on to represent Sweetwater at the State Competition in Austin this weekend.

Our students dedicated countless hours to their projects, bringing this year’s theme, “Revolution, Reaction, and Reform,” to life in creative and meaningful ways. Their hard work, passion, and commitment truly showed.

A big thank you to everyone who supported these students along the way. This is an accomplishment our entire community can be proud of, and we’re excited to see this program continue to grow in the years ahead.

Great job, Mustangs!
