Sweetwater ISD will be on Fall Break October 1–5.
Students and staff will be out during this time, so we wanted to give families plenty of notice to plan ahead for childcare, travel, appointments, or a little extra time together.
Classes and regular district operations will resume following the break.

Congratulations to the talented members of the **Mighty Mustang Band and Guard** who auditioned for the **Region 6 Jazz Bands** this past Wednesday!
🌟 **Noah Brown** — 1st Chair Tenor Saxophone, Jazz I
🌟 **Deuce Hopkins** — 1st Chair Bass, Jazz I
🌟 **Lovelynn Guelker** — Jazz II, Trombone
🌟 **Sammy Baugh** — Jazz II, Trumpet
Noah, Deuce, and Lovelynn have also submitted recordings for consideration for the **ATSSB All-State Jazz Ensemble**, with results expected in November. We wish them the very best as they take this next step!
👏 **Bruno Gonzales** earned 1st Alternate on Bass Trombone and 2nd Alternate on Trombone.
We are also proud of **Araceli Barrientes, Harlee Baker, and Ryan Hernandez**, who auditioned and represented Sweetwater exceptionally well.
Noah, Deuce, Lovelynn, and Sammy will join other outstanding musicians from across the region for the **Region 6 Jazz Band Concert on January 30 at Clyde High School.**
Please help us congratulate all eight of these students for their hard work, talent, and dedication!

Sweetwater ISD students will not have school on Monday, September 21.
Our staff will be participating in a Staff Development/Data Day as we review student progress, plan for instruction, and prepare for the weeks ahead.
Students will return to their regular schedule on Tuesday, September 22.
