Congratulations to the Lions Club Art Contest Winners. All three winners are from Mrs. Belenger's 8th grade Art class.
Emerie Mize-1st place, with a $100 prize. Emerie also placed 3rd in the Region.
Johanna Rodriquez-2nd place, with a $75 prize.

It has been testing week at SMS and the employees were treated to fresh fruit, pastries, and other snacks to get them through the long days. Thank you SMS for all you do!!

Tonight is the night! SMS PTO Valentine Dance! There will be door prizes, games, concession & music will be provided by one of Sweetwater's finest DJ's. $7.00 at the door. Please encourage you students to attend. Chaperones will be PTO members, Faculty & Staff.
Don't forget, SMS will be having Spring Pictures taken on February 16, 2023 in the school gym. Order packets have been passed out and extra's are available in the office.
On January 31 and February 1, our district chose to cancel school due to weather. In our calendar, we have two bad weather days, February 20 and April 7. Rather than using bad weather days to make up for the days missed, our district has chosen to use banked minutes to make up for these days. Thus, February 20 and April 7 will both be holidays, and our district will be closed.
Great things are happening in the Library at SMS!!
Encourage your kiddos to drop by the Library and have a "BLIND DATE WITH A BOOK"!!
