Regular school attendance and the accurate reporting of attendance is essential to ensure students are engaging in the Learning. Absences from class may result in serious disruption of a student’s education. The student and parent should avoid unnecessary absences. Teachers and staff should be familiar with the district’s policies and procedures for attendance accounting. All teachers and PEIMS personnel must adhere to the guidelines of daily attendance reporting detailed in the Attendance Accounting Handbook. These procedures require minor students to have parental consent before they are allowed to leave campus. When absent from school, the student upon returning to school, must present a note providing the reason for the absence. Contact the campus principal with additional questions or need for information.
The district will take official attendance every day at 10 am. A student absent for any portion of the day, should follow the procedures below to provide documentation of the absence.
