📣 Parents & Guardians: Your Input Matters

Parents and guardians are invited to participate in a brief statewide survey about safe firearm storage awareness efforts in Texas.

The information gathered through this study will help researchers improve future safety resources and educational materials for schools and families.

This project is funded by the National Institute of Justice and is being led by the Texas School Safety Center and WestEd.

We appreciate your time and participation in helping support safer school communities and families.

📣 Parents & Community Members: Get Involved with SISD SHAC!

The first meeting of the SISD School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) will be held on September 22.

SHAC brings together members of our school community, including parents, school staff, clergy, healthcare providers, extension specialists, local government representatives, and human service agencies.

Together, the council provides input and guidance on coordinated school health programs designed to support and improve the health and well-being of SISD students and families.

We would love to have interested parents participate!

Our staff will be participating in a Staff Development/Data Day as we review student progress, plan for instruction, and prepare for the weeks ahead.

Please enter the cafeteria from the west side. 📣 Pep Rally | 3 p.m. Visitors may sit in the middle sections on either side of Mustang Bowl. 🎉 Homecoming Parade | 4:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to participate—no advance registration is needed! Groups should line up on Ash Street behind the band and Homecoming Court by 4:15 p.m. 🏈 Homecoming Game | 7 p.m. Mark your calendars and come celebrate a Homecoming filled with Disney magic and plenty of #MustangPride! ❤️🤍

REAL MOMENTUM. ❤️🐎 Today, we are proud to share that Sweetwater ISD has earned a C in the 2026 TEA Accountability Ratings—an acceptable rating and our best district rating in the last five years. But this is about much more than a letter grade. It represents the tremendous growth that occurred in just ONE YEAR because of the hard work, focus, and commitment of our students, teachers, staff, campus leaders, families, and community. Our classrooms are getting stronger. Our students are growing. Our systems are improving. And our district is moving forward. We celebrate this progress because our people have worked incredibly hard to achieve it—but we are not done. A C is not our destination.
