Mustangs, Sweetwater ISD and others throughout the Region are still without phone service. I have been in communication with our provider throughout the weekend and know that they are working to rebuild their system as quickly as possible making a great deal of progress. Please continue to email your campuses directly using the staff directory from our website or contact us at info@sweetwaterisd.net if you need assistance. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this frustrating time. Thank you, Sonya Davison, Director of Technology

Phone service has not been restored to the District as of yet. Please continue to communicate with your campus through email. We feel certain our provider will have our phones back up and going by Monday. Email directories can be found at sweetwaterisd.net (Quick links, Staff) or you may email info@sweetwaterisd.net for general inquiries or if you are unsure who to contact.

Phone Update: We just received an update from our service provider. They are having major network issues and there is still not an estimated time of repair for the phone systems. We are one of several schools in Regions 14 and 15 without service.

At last night's board meeting, we honored the legacy of two great teachers who together gave 51 years of dedicated service to the students of Sweetwater ISD. Teresa Slaton was a 1983 Sweetwater Mustang graduate. She gave 27 years to Sweetwater ISD beginning at Philip Nolan in 1993 and ending at Sweetwater Intermediate School. She was Teacher of the Year 2010-2011. Teresa is remembered as an energetic ball of fire who could talk to everyone & for her ability to make anyone understand math. Kathy Witt inspired the students and staff of SISD for 24 years. She began at Sweetwater Middle School in 1991 and transferred to Sweetwater High School in 2004. She was honored as Teacher of the Year in 2016. She is best remembered for her dedication to the field of science, her loving & giving spirit AND her amazing baking creations. Thank you to their families who have provided matching benches at the entrance of SIS and SHS as a tribute to their life of service. They touched and changed many lives and their legacies will live on forever in the hearts of many. #MustangSpirit #whereeachchildmatters
